26/09/2022 – With the acquisition of this major player of the French solar PV market, Blue Pearl Energy considerably extends its position in this key segment of B2B energy services.
Blue Pearl Energy, an innovative European energy services platform, announced today the integration of France Solar into its network of specialist SMEs. This acquisition enables Blue Pearl Energy to take a significant market share in the B2B photovoltaic sector, at a key moment in the development of the solar industry in France. In response to the historical energy crisis, the government has indeed launched this summer a consultation with the actors of the sector on a new law called “acceleration of renewable energies”, which will more than likely result in a strong acceleration of renewable energy demand.
France Solar, one of the French leaders in the installation of solar PV systems for the public and private sector, is the 11th SME to join the Blue Pearl Energy platform within two years. In accordance with the Blue Pearl model, France Solar will be able to rely on powerful new growth levers while retaining its identity and operating autonomy.
Founded in 2009 by its manager Ercan Kilicdemir, France Solar has built a solid position among the French leaders in the installation of solar PV systems for B2B customers. Based in Brumath near Strasbourg, France Solar has 285 employees. It operates throughout France and particularly enjoys a strong leadership position in the North-East of the country, a dynamic region with strong development potential.
France Solar boasts a solid expertise in the installation and maintenance of solar systems for the service sector, industry, agriculture, and public buildings. It also carries out installations for private individuals and has been developing for several years a new offering in insulation, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services. The company has a branch in Switzerland on which it relies for its international development, and recently launched a third-party PV project investment offering through its subsidiary France Solar Power, an activity that Blue Pearl Energy intends to rapidly ramp up.
“France SOLAR has been designing and building solar PV installations for more than 10 years. But our objective is much larger than that, we want to support our customers in their energy transition by providing them with a full range of solutions ranging from onsite renewable energy generation to custom energy efficiency solutions, supported by global third-party financing capabilities. Blue Pearl Energy is the ideal partner to support us in moving forward quickly and effectively on these multiple development fronts. “, explains Ercan Kilicdemir, president and founder of France Solar.
This is the second company active in the photovoltaic sector to join the Blue Pearl Energy platform, after the acquisition of the Belgian company CORETEC in 2020. “The acquisition of France Solar marks a very important milestone in our development. With their extensive experience in renewable energy and their strong footprint in the French market, Blue Pearl Energy will greatly increase its ability to service customers throughout the country. Our customers are increasingly demanding PV solutions for their self-consumption because of their advantages: securing a competitive electricity price over the long term (>20 years) but also energy independence thanks to onsite power production. In particular, onsite solar power generation will be instrumental to help our customers in the tertiary sector to lower their consumption, and move a step closer towards reaching the regulatory objective of a 40% reduction by 2030. We are delighted to welcome France Solar today in the Blue Pearl SME network.”, concludes Eric de Seguins Pazzis, co-founder and CEO of Blue Pearl Energy.
